Hello, I'm Frankie,
I like to think of myself as the dog behind the brains (and paws) of the operation here at Care Dog Academy.
I wasn’t exactly planned… but I like to think I arrived exactly when I was meant to.
I was born into this world on 29 September 2023, a really handsome chap if you ask me, I have quite a distinguished look!
My story started with a bit of surprise.
One day my human’s neighbour, came home and casually said:
“I think I’ve found you a dog.”
Naturally, my human thought that sounded a bit random and probably wouldn’t come to anything. But later that evening, sure enough… a message arrived.
The next day they arranged to meet.
And that’s when everything changed.
That morning, my human opened the door to meet my wonderful former owner, a kind, compassionate person who had loved me deeply from the moment I was born.
And of course… there was me.

My Unexpected Beginnings...
You see, I come from what humans call an “accidental litter.”
My mum, a beautiful French Bulldog, was actually due to be spayed when something surprising appeared on an ultrasound. Eight little puppies. Including me and I was the biggest and strongest out of all my litter mates! Of course I was, I mean...
I'm Super Frank! I know the answer to all your dog questions!
My dad, by the way, is an entire male Dachshund, which explains my rather unique and charming mix. So yes… I’m a Dachshund × French Bulldog.

A First Night That Felt Like Forever...
When I arrived at my new home, something rather magical happened. That very first night, I curled up next to my human in bed and snuggled all night long, as if I had lived there my entire life.
No nerves. No hesitation. Just the feeling that this was exactly where I belonged. My human still says it felt surreal… like fate had stepped in.
Why I Came to My New Home...
I wasn’t rehomed because anything was wrong.
In fact, my first owner loved me with her whole heart, and that love showed in the way I trusted people so easily. But as I grew older, she realised something important. I was becoming a very devoted one-person dog, and living with both my mum and dad meant I sometimes had to compete for attention. As I moved through maturity, she made the incredibly thoughtful decision that I might thrive best in a home where I could truly be someone’s special companion, and that’s how I found my way here.

Two and a Half Years Later...
These days I’m about two and a half years old, and life has taken quite an interesting turn.
What started as an unexpected meeting has become something much bigger.
Together with the team at Care Dog Academy, I now help humans learn about dogs behaviour, training, breeds and care. Not bad for a surprise puppy, if I do say so myself.
Still family...
One of the nicest parts of my story is that my humans still keep in touch with my former owner.
She changed our lives by trusting us with me, and that’s something we’ll always be grateful for.
And as for me?
Well…
I’m still the same dog who curled up on that first night and decided this was home.
